A 33-feet tall 'Shiva lingam' unveiled in Dadra and nagar haveli

Silvasa: A 33-feet tall 'Shiva lingam' made up of over 25 lakhs rudraksha beads was on Tuesday unveiled at Balaji Temple in Silvasa district on the eve of Mahashivratri Festival. Building Shiv lingam is an initiative of one Batuk Vyas, a businessman from Dharampur tehsil in South Gujarat and his team of 40 workers endeavour to construct it in one and a half month.

The fourth time winner, Vyas with consociation of Tirupati Balaji Trust and Rudraksh Seva Cheritable Trust claimed to have broken his own record of towering of rudraksha Shiva lingam which was recorded in the Limca Book of Records last year.

Meanwhile, the Aamli's temple courtyard was filled with devotees of Lord Shiva who gathered over here for the katha of Shivapuran and to get blessings from Shiva lingam. The katha of Mahashivratri will be held for the devotees till 15th February.
