EXCLUSIVE: Shah breaks silence on #MeToo charges against Akbar

Hyderabad: Skirting the recent sexual harassment allegations against Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs MJ Akbar, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah Friday said that it's too early to take any action on the minister. Speaking exclusively to ETV, Shah said, "It is very tough to comment on the issue as it concerns the reputation of an individual."

Shah breaks silence on allegations against Akbar

"The allegations posted on the website needs to be cross-examined. It has to be checked whether or not the incident happened in real. You can post in my name as well," said a perplexed Shah.

Avoiding taking names, Shah said, "It has to fished out whether or not the 'person' who posted it, is the same person or posted by someone else."

Being ambiguous on his future course of action, Shah said, "We will check on all the possible angle and then 'think'."
