PM offers prayers at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple

Thiruvananthapuram: Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday. He was accompanied by Kerala Governor Palanisamy Sathasivam for his holy visit.

However, his visit to the temple was not free of controversy. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor claimed that he and other local leaders were not allowed to enter the temple along with PM Modi, saying that the Prime Minister’s had “cut us from the list”.

Modi earlier visited Kerala’s Kollam as Lok Sabha elections are nearby.

The PM even met with Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and inaugurated the Kollam bypass on NH-66.

This is the third official visit of PM Modi to Kollam.
