Hyderabad : TDP leader CM Ramesh reacting to the IT raids has blamed Modi for targeting Telugu Desam Party workers as they had moved the non-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha.
Ramesh states, "This is clear cut political vendetta against TDP leaders. As elections are approaching, anybody opposing Modi's government are being suppressed."
"This has happened in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka as well as in Bengal and now in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana," he added.
CM Ramesh's residence and office in Kadapa were raided by income tax officers on Friday. Searches were conducted at the houses and offices of TDP leader and industrialist Beeda Masthan Rao in Andhra Pradesh on October 5.
IT officials also raided the premises of former TDP leader Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad last week.
