'If Rahul marries a Brahmin, then he could become PM': Reddy
Vizag: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP JC Diwakar Reddy has advised UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to get his son and Congress president Rahul Gandhi married to a Brahmin girl so that he could become Prime Minister.
"I had suggested UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to marry her son Rahul to a Brahmin girl so that he could become the PM," Reddy said.
While addressing the public meeting, Reddy said on July 4 that since Rahul needs the support of Brahmins in Uttar Pradesh, he should get married to a 'good Brahmin girl'.
He added, "When I was in Congress, I suggested to Sonia Gandhi that if Rahul wants to become the Prime Minister in 2014, then he will need the support of the UP Brahmins as the Brahmin community is ruling there. . A politician from Andhra Pradesh, Diwakar Reddy won the Anantapur parliamentary seat in the 2014 general election as a Telugu Desam Party candidate.
He was elected six times to the State Assembly from the Tadipatri constituency in the Anantapur district.
