This Allahabadi cutlet is quite spicy and a little different from the regular cutlets. Allahabadi cutlet is an extremely simple and gets ready in minutes if you have your potatoes boiled and mashed already.
These lip licking Allahabadi cutlets are a real snacky treat for foodies
Boil potatoes-½ kg Eggs-2 Green chili-4 Sesame-1 cup Flour (roasted)-1/ 2 cup Cumin-1 tsp Chopped red chili-1tsp Almond (roasted, chopped)-1tbsp Currants-1 tbsp Black Pepper ½ tsp Cream- 2 tbsp Green coriander- 4 tbsp Salt- ½ tsp Oil as required
Boil ½ kg potatoes.Once softened, then add 1tsp cumin to the mashed potatoes, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp black pepper,1tsp chopped red chilies, 4 tbsp coriander, ½ cup flour, 1 tbsp almond, 1tbsp currants, 2tbsp cream, 4 green chilies and mix well.
Now shape the potatoes into small cutlets of the potato mixture well.
Then coat the cutlets with flour, dip them in the beaten eggs mixture and coat with sesame seeds. Heat oil in a wok and fry the cutlets.
