Pulwama terror attack: JeM releases video of suicide bomber

New Delhi: A video of the Adil Ahmad Dar alias Waqas Commando of Gundibagh, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) featured claiming responsibility of the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama, killing at least 20 CRPF jawans on Thursday.

The banned terror Group, Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibilty of the entire suicidal attack, claiming that Adil Ahmad Dar would be dead by the time the video releases.

The JeM was formed from the Harkatul Mujahideen with the help of the ISI. The organisation traces its ideology to the Deobandi school and has carried out several terror attacks in India.

The organisation emerged from irrelevance after Masood Azhar was given reins of the organisation.

Masood Azhar is said to have made the organisation have base in Bahawalpur in Pakistan. The organisation has a walled compound and building that it uses as its headquarters.

Recently the group has been linked with terror attack Pathankot. The group aims for a merger of Kashmir with Pakistan.

According to latest reports, at least 18 CRPF personnel were killed as a explosives-laden vehicle rammed into the bus carrying the jawans in J&K on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Awantipora area of Pulwoma district.

Terror group JeM claimed responsibility for the incident, officials said.

Police have identified the terrorist as Adil Ahmad from Kakapora in Pulwama. He joined the Jaish-Mohammed in 2018, police said.
