Gambhir dons 'dupatta' and 'bindi' to support LGBT community

New Delhi: Veteran India cricketer Gautam Gambhir, who is known to be vocal about his opinions, was seen sporting a dupatta and a bindi to express his support for the LGBT community here at the capital on Thursday.

The out-of-favour India opener recently visited a Delhi mall where a bunch of transgender people came together for the annual Hijra Habba, this year's theme being 'Born This Way' and was organised by the HIV/AIDS Alliance India.

This is not for the first time that the Delhi-born cricketer has shown his support for the transgenders. During this year's Raksha Bandhan in August, Gambhir had posted pictures on social networking sites showing a couple of transgenders Rakhi and Sabina tying Rakhi to him.
