Has time come to destroy Pak's terror launch pads?

New Delhi: After continuous ceasefire violation along the Line of Control and international border, India's defence expert has said that India did not attack during Ramazan but only retaliated in response to firing by Pakistani troops.

General PK Sehgal speaks to Eenadu India

General P K Sehgal came down heavily on Pakistan and said that time has come to destroy terror launch pads and training camps which are active within India's range. He further said that India have actionable intelligence reports about the militant's camps.

"Pakistan has been continuously violating ceasefire, which indicates that we have allowed the initiative to slip from our hands," Sehgal told Eenadu India.

On the question of failure of DGMO-level talks between the two countries, Sehgal said that India's decision of ceasefire during Ramazan have not been fruitful. He said that while India has been attacked 44 times, the country has only responded four times to the ceasefire violations.

"I personally feel that government's decision of Ramazan ceasefire is not paying dividends at all in the four districts of south Kashmir and parts of Srinagar. In the first 25 days, we have been hit 44 times, while during this time our troops responded only 4 times.
