#MeToo effect: Sajid steps down as 'Housefull 4' director

Hyderabad: Right after Akshay Kumar requested 'Housefull 4' producers to cancel the shoots until further investigation of the sexual harassment allegations on Sajid Khan and Nana Patekar, the director Sajid stepped down from his directorial post.

In the wake of #MeToo, Akshay soon after he returned from Italy requested the producers of 'Housefull 4' to cancel the shoot. Soon after that Sajid, in his tweet announced of stepping down from the post of director.

ALSO READ: Sajid Khan accused of harassment by assistant director, journalist As a disciplinarian, Akshay has never cancelled a shoot in his 28-year career. Prior to his tweet, his wife Twinkle Khanna too in her tweet urged everyone involved in Housefull to take stringent action on this issue.

'Housefull 4' director Sajid Khan was accused by three women yesterday. Actor Rachel White, assistant director Saloni Chopra and journalist Karishma Upadhyay came out in open to share their #MeToo stories.

The film cast also includes Nana Patekar, who has been accused by Tanushree Dutta, for sexually abusing her 10-years ago, on the sets of 'Horn Ok Pleasss' in 2008.

Over 70% shooting of 'Housefull 4' has been done in London and Jaisalmer.
