Akshay cancels 'Housefull 4' shoot, post allegation on Sajid

Hyderabad: In the wake of #MeToo, Bollywood stars are taking firm steps against the predators. After Aamir Khan backed off a project, now Akshay Kumar has requested the producers of 'Housefull 4' to cancel the shoot until further investigation of the sexual harassment allegations on Sajid Khan and Nana Patekar.

Akshay just returned to India from Italy and in his Twitter post wrote, "I've just landed back in the country last night and reading all the news has been very disturbing. I've requested the producers of 'Housefull 4' to cancel the shoot until further investigation. This is something that requires stringent action. I will not work with any proven offenders and all those who have been subjugated to harassment should be heard and given the justice they deserve."

Prior to his tweet, his wife Twinkle Khanna too in her tweet urged everyone involved in Housefull to take stringent action on this issue.

'Housefull 4' director Sajid Khan was accused by three women yesterday. Actor Rachel White, assistant director Saloni Chopra and journalist Karishma Upadhyay came out in open to share their #MeToo stories.

The film cast also includes Nana Patekar, who has been accused by Tanushree Dutta, for sexually abusing her 10-years ago, on the sets of 'Horn Ok Pleasss' in 2008.

Over 70% shooting of 'Housefull 4' has been done in London and Jaisalmer.
